ABOUT

The Full Story

In 2009, I was a sixth grader that enjoyed going out for pizza with friends. I never thought twice about what I ate, until one day my test results came back from the doctor and everything changed. Being diagnosed with Celiac Disease at the age of 11 came with its challenges. However, my family took on this challenge together and we have not looked back since. Oh yeah, did I mention that all 5 of my family members are gluten free? Yes, some might describe us as a gluten free clown car!

I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in May 2020. Having grown up near Boston, MA, gluten free food has not been too hard to find. Living in South Carolina for four years? Ehh... not so much. One thing that I have learned is to not hold back just because you are gluten free or have other dietary restrictions. From being a Division 1 lacrosse athlete in college to studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain for 5 months, I have collected some tips and tricks along the way. I have now moved to Denver, CO, which I might describe as the gluten free capital of the United States. Follow along to see what I find!

Kiley Decker Wellness is a place for people to read and see my journey. Having Celiac Disease has led me into living an overall healthier lifestyle so I want to share my knowledge with you. Most importantly, living a life full of health and wellness does not have to be boring, in fact, it is quite exciting!
